WELCOME to the Saline County Sheriff's Website
Sheriff Keith Brown is the current sheriff, with over 30
years of law enforcement experience. Beginning as a jailer
here in Saline County, later moving on to the Illinois State
Police. Sheriff Brown was elected in 2006, replacing
retiring Sheriff Ed Miller.

The Saline County Sheriff's Department has been around
since the late 1800's and has a long and established
tradition for maintaining peace in the area. Working with
over thirty agencies' the Sheriff's Department is organized
to meet the law enforcement needs of the people in Saline
County.

The Saline County Assessors Office is taking applications for
property owners who sustained substantial damage from the
EF-4 Tornado on February 29th, 2012.

Taxpayers should complete form PTAX-245 at the Assessors
Office located on the second floor of the Saline County
Courthouse in order to request reassessment of thier property.
